The serrations of the Robert Herder KB bread knife move smoothly through all kinds of bread, whether it’s a soft-crusted loaf or a hard-crusted baguette. This knife isn’t just limited to bread, though. The serrated blade can also be used to cut pies and cakes, as well as hard fruits and vegetables.
The blade is made from pure stainless steel. In contrast to the carbon steel that Robert Herder often uses, this type of steel is corrosion-resistant. The blade is sharpened by hand according to the traditional German Solinger Dünnschliff principle. The result is a razor-sharp knife. A unique feature of the blade is that it is sharpened on both sides, making it perfect for left-handed and right-handed use. This is something you don’t often come across in bread knives. The handle is made from plum wood. This wood is seamlessly attached to the blade with four rivets.
The ergonomics are also great. With its rounded shapes, the handle is slim and graceful, and fits perfectly in hand. The K-collection was designed for cooking enthusiasts who want to use their kitchen knives intensively.
